Mrs Ward shared her career in politics, including her time working as part of the Foreign Office, and her current work representing local residents in her ward. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Ward's visit and found it insightful to see how local government operates.

New Sixth Form Building Opens 18th April 2024 - Watch a Film Now

Our fantastic new building opens on 18th April 2024 and we can't wait for our students to start using it early next term. Term starts on 15th April.

Set over three floors, this multi-million pound building has been specifically designed for sixth form education, with state of the art facilities including classrooms and spaces specially designed for subjects such as science, DT, art, drama and music. Watch the film now!

Here are just a few highlights of what our building will offer.

Ground floor

  • state-of-the-art specialist rooms for DT, art and drama, with music practice rooms
  • a main hall for assemblies and lectures
  • a dining area that leads to outside seating for collaborative and social dining
  • a vibrant and welcoming sixth form social area

First floor

  • Private study area
  • Library and resource centre
  • ICT suites for lessons and independent study

Second floor

  • large science laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, and a science studio
