Mrs Ward shared her career in politics, including her time working as part of the Foreign Office, and her current work representing local residents in her ward. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Ward's visit and found it insightful to see how local government operates.

Cultural Food Fair Raises £195 for Charity

MAAC societyOur MAAC society (Middle Eastern, Asian, African, and Caribbean) worked together to put on a fantastic Cultural Food Fair in the sixth form yesterday.

A special mention to Mahum for organising the event and to Mahum, Rihanna, Ayman and Paige for bringing in homemade samosas, spring rolls, biriyani, beef patties, Jollof rice and pakoras, amongst other dishes!

Another huge thank you to the teachers, Ms Aziz, Mr Alibhai, Ms Divakaran, Ms Okorie and Ms Wanza, who also brought in delicious dishes and sixth formers who volunteered on the stalls to ensure the event ran smoothly.

The MAAC society have raised £195.94 today, and all proceeds will go towards supporting Save The Children and The Disaster Relief Fund.

A special mention must also go to Rihanna for the fantastic poster design and drawing!

Thank you to all sixth formers and staff who have supported this cause today. We look forward to the next MAAC society event!
