Mrs Ward shared her career in politics, including her time working as part of the Foreign Office, and her current work representing local residents in her ward. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Ward's visit and found it insightful to see how local government operates.

Art Students Visit Essex Coast for Seaside Inspiration

Our Year 12 artists are currently producing a portfolio of work around the theme ‘seaside’. So last week all students visited the Essex coast to find inspiration, take photographs, visit a local art gallery, and experience the culture of a seaside town.

Our students walked from Leigh Old Town along the coast to Chalkwell beach and have now decided on their project title, with different focuses, including landscapes, the different textures found at the beach, the seaside town architecture, and portraits of those visiting the seaside. We are looking forward to seeing their final pieces!
