Mrs Ward shared her career in politics, including her time working as part of the Foreign Office, and her current work representing local residents in her ward. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Ward's visit and found it insightful to see how local government operates.

Cultural Food Fair Raises Money for Sickle Cell Society

Last week Nifemi and a group of students planned and ran a Cultural Food Fair to raise awareness and money for Sickle Cell Disease. This followed on from Nifemi’s assembly the week before.

We are so thankful that so many students volunteered to make food for the Cultural Food Fair and also to those who supported by donating. £160 was raised for The Sickle Cell Society.

The Sickle Cell Society is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder to improve their overall quality of life. A fantastic achievement!

Students made and sold fantastic food to raise money at our Cultural Food Fair.
