Students were given a tour of the grand library and an academic referencing workshop by the university’s librarians. Followed by an undergraduate style lecture by Dr Nicola Abbott, in her specialism, on social psychology and bystanders.

Mrs Ward shared her career in politics, including her time working as part of the Foreign Office, and her current work representing local residents in her ward. Students and staff thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Ward's visit and found it insightful to see how local government operates.

HRSF Open Evening - Pictures and Presentation

Harris Rainham Sixth Form welcomed prospective students, parents and carers to an open evening earlier this month.

Guests were able to tour the first floor of our new building (ready in April 2024) and visit our subject experts.

Teachers and current sixth formers were on stalls and spoke about the courses we offer, the entry requirements and recommended preparation work. Guests also attended a speech by the Principal, Mr Stananought, and the Vice Principal, Miss Holland.

A huge thank you to all our sixth formers who volunteered at the HRSF open evening. All students conducted themselves professionally and engaged with prospective students and parents to inform them about the subjects we offer and the values we hold. We are so proud of all our students and their drive to volunteer and give back to their school community.

Daniel and Sarah are our student presidents. They embody our values and are fully invested in all that we do here at Harris Rainham Sixth Form.

Daniel and Sarah delivered a speech during our open evening to audiences of 200+ guests. They did a fantastic job, speaking with clarity and passion, inspiring prospective students and supporting their sixth form. We are so proud of you and excited to see your impact at HRSF.
